The Department of Economics has been rendering its services from the day of inception of the college in 1983. The great knowledgeable hearts rendered their services to strengthen the department. The department offers different group combinations like History, Economics and Political Science in Telugu Medium and History, Economics and Advanced English in English Medium.

The department has a library to lend books to students and it has nearly 40books.The department organises Field trips, Seminars, Group discussions Newspaper clippings are circulated among the students to know about the budget and stock exchange, Advanced learners are given study projects and slow learners are provided with remedial coaching. A bridge course is conducted for the beginners from non humanities background. Chart based education and ICT based learning is imparted to heterogeneous students. PG entrance coaching and coaching for competitive coaching is given to students.
