“KNOWLEDGE IS WISDOM”

The department of History has been rendering its services from the day of inception of the college

since 1983. The great knowledgeable hearts rendered their services to strengthen the

department; The department has one sanctioned post and as such a regular lecturer is working.

The department offers different group combinations like History, Economics and Political Science

in Telugu Medium; History, Economics and Advanced English group in English Medium was

started in 2014-15 and it was wound up in 2019-20 academic year.

The department of History in Urdu Medium has one sanctioned post and no regular

employee is working, hence a guest lecturer is engaged.

The departmental library consists of nearly 230 books meant for students, who

apply for various competitive and academic examinations.

The department organizes Field Trips, Seminars, Quiz programmes, Group discussions and

celebrations of all historical prominent dates. The news paper clippings are circulated among the

students to sensitise their perception on History and historical monuments. A bridge course is

conducted for the beginners from non-humanities background. Chart based education, coaching

for PG entrance and various competitive exams is given to students.
