The Department of Zoology was established in the year 1997-98 with B.Sc. (B.Z.C). group in Telugu medium later English medium was also started in the year 2015-16. The department of Zoology is having sufficient lab equipment for conducting the practicals. The Objective of our department is to enrich students knowledge in research and creative skills. Our department provides knowledge about various branches of Zoology and also gives priority to job opportunities in the fields of Sericulture, Dairy Technology, Aquaculture and Poultry (private and Govt sectors). The department of Zoology is maintaining the Library to issue books to the students. We are conducting the remedial coaching to below average students. We have MOU with Government and Private Industries. We are giving guidance and counseling to the students for career development and also conducted the guest lecture programs. PG, B.Ed. entrance and all competitive exams old question papers and paper clippings are given to students. Our department is going to establish the Biotechnology Lab and also planning to introduce the restructured job oriented group to the students for the academic year 2019-20 for providing training and placement.
