The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of SVCR Government Degree College, Palamaner is established to empower women students and women staff of the college.
The prime aim of the cell is to realize their potential and power in socio-economic and political spheres of life which results not only in Women Empowerment but also in the holistic development of the Nation.
Women Empowerment Cell struggles to maintain the gender-neutral atmosphere of the college. The cell gives encouragement to the women students of the college to interact in situations freely and without any hesitation.
Aim of the cell is to make the woman student to fight against the discrimination shown towards to her in any of the areas of her life.
Motivation is given to the women students to face situations where she may feel inferior or downtrodden.
Encouragement is aptly given to them to go for economic freedom and economical empowerment along with social empowerment.
The WEC functions arduously to enhance their status and thereby empower them through guest lectures, seminars, workshops, various awareness programmes and other welfare activities. The WEC will step forward with specific objectives and plan of action by focusing quality activities for the well being of women students and to promote a culture of respect and quality for genders.

OBJECTIVES

To create a cordial environment where the women students can share their problems.
To create awareness on Women empowerment and rights given by the constitution and Acts of Law.
To conduct programmes with a motive to train women students about self defense, health benefits and skill development.
To bridge the gap between students and teachers by maintaining a cordial relationship between them, so that women students can open up freely to share their personal problems.
To provide a stress free working atmosphere by identifying and fixing responsibility on the concerned persons for ensuring equal treatment of and participation by women in all areas.
To conduct guest lectures, seminars and workshops to impart knowledge of opportunities and tools available and train the women.
To conduct meetings and competitions on various events to fill confidence among them.
To inculcate entrepreneurial attitude among young women.
To motivate them towards research attitude.
